Ice Cream Social to welcome Nancy StillsStills attended Academy High School in Colorado Springs, the University of Colorado in Boulder, and she raised her family while working in Denver. "The more I learn about what the Red Cross means to the Western Slope, the more I realize how fortunate we are to have this neighbor-helping-neighbor mechanism called the Red Cross in our community," Stills said.

"Local trained Red Cross volunteers in the chapter's 10-county region provide individuals and families free disaster assistance made possible by this community's voluntary donations of money and time," she said.

The Western Colorado chapter also provides emergency communications to active duty and community-based military, linking them with their families during times of personal crisis.

"Providing first aid, CPR and youth programs too help us all lead safer and healthier lives. I feel privileged to be a member of this community," Stills said.
